Painting in Spirit

In 2018 Katie had a 10 week exhibition of her paintings at the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Centre in Edinburgh, Scotland UK. Katie’s ‘Para-realistic’ paintings are based mainly on the anomalous light/spirit phenomenon we have photographed over the years. When interviewed about her paintings Katie commented,

“As wonderful as the photographs we were privileged to capture are, these were moments frozen in time. I felt I needed to revisit those experiences, and the only way I knew how to do that was through painting. I am still totally entranced by the images and our encounters. For me painting was a means of meditating on the wealth of information in the photographs and accompanying synchronicities. Painting was a way to engage with the spiritual aspect of our experiences”.

The Gallery

In this Gallery are reproductions of a few of the  paintings from Katie’s ‘Luminescence exhibition’ at the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Centre in 2018.
The originals range in size from 12”x12” squares to 20”x15” portrait to 30”x40”landscape.
All the paintings exhibited at the Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Centre are reproduced in our book, ‘Luminescence’; copies of which can be purchased either from the ACD Centre or on this website. High quality reproduction prints on canvas are available of any of Katie’s original paintings, as shown in our Luminescence book. Reproductions are only sold directly to the individual purchaser.
